Chats are listed in the sidebar, grouped by date. Pin the ones you keep returning to — a coverage chat per name, a running macro thread — and they stay in a Pinned group at the top, independent of age.
Press ⌘K (or the Search item in the sidebar) to search across your chats — titles and content. Two characters in, results group into Today, This week, and Older; select one to jump into that conversation.
Long conversations fill the analyst’s working context. The Context meter shows one current percentage against Quantesta’s 980,000-token operational reference. When you submit a message, Quantesta projects the first model request from the latest completed provider measurement plus new request material. It does not measure unsent text.
If that request fits, the answer may use live data tools. If context reaches the operational reference during the answer, Quantesta stops requesting more data and makes one final writing pass from everything already gathered. When the answer finishes, the final provider measurement replaces the projection, so the percentage may reconcile up or down.
Plan ahead appears at 60%. Finish the current line of work and consider a fresh chat before beginning another broad analysis. Near limit appears at 80%. Start a fresh chat before another large, retrieval-heavy task. Both are guidance; sending remains available. Limit reached appears at 100%. A successful answer that settles there remains complete. The next newly submitted turn is refused before provider dispatch and uses no analysis credits.
Context can grow quickly within one answer because live data and tool results become part of the analyst’s working material.
As of mid-2026, frontier models can accept very large context windows, but maximum context capacity does not guarantee uniform analytical quality throughout that window. Long inputs can make evidence retrieval, prioritization, and cross-source reasoning less reliable even before the technical limit is reached. The 60% and 80% notices are Quantesta planning guidance, not claims of exact quality cliffs.
Quantesta does not silently summarize, prune, or delete earlier analytical history. Those transformations can change which evidence and reasoning remain available. Starting a new chat creates a fresh context window; the previous conversation remains intact and searchable.

Every chat’s sidebar menu has Share. A chat is Private by default — only you can open it. Switching it to Public makes it viewable, read-only, by any signed-in Quantesta user who has the link; nothing is listed or indexed, and you can switch it back to Private at any time.
Individual chats can be deleted from their sidebar menu; deleting a conversation removes it from your history. Full account deletion is covered in the Trust & Privacy FAQ.
