A Project is a home for a continuing line of work. Keep its direction, evidence and conversations together, whether you are following earnings, exploring a market theme or testing a portfolio assumption. You can work independently or add Quantesta members to your Project.
Open Projects from the sidebar and choose New Project. Give it a name that describes the work. Its Brief sets the goal, scope and way of working: the companies or markets to cover, the periods to compare, and the questions or methods that matter. You can revise it through Edit Project as the work develops.
For an earnings Project, the Brief might ask for consistent reporting periods, a separation of reported results from guidance, and attention to what changed the investment thesis. Choose New chat inside the Project to start an investigation with that direction in place.
In Files & notes, use Upload for source documents or data, and New note for working assumptions, questions or a record you want to keep. Name the file or note in your request so the analyst knows what to examine. See Project files and notes for supported formats and reading capabilities.
Keep the status of each input clear. A supplied holdings sheet describes the portfolio as of its date; an allocation you ask to test is an assumption. Neither becomes a current market fact simply by being in the Project.
Findings holds useful, qualified observations and conclusions. Keep them concise, with dates, sources or links to the supporting conversation. A working assumption belongs in a note; a retained finding should say what the evidence supports and what remains uncertain.
Owners and members with Can edit access can update Brief and Findings through Edit Project, or ask the analyst to propose a change. Review the exact wording and explicitly accept it in chat before it saves. Findings are retained deliberately; they are not an automatic summary of every answer.
The current Brief and Findings accompany each new request in the Project. Earlier conversations, files and notes are available for retrieval when relevant. Search the Project’s chat titles and answers, or give the analyst the title or link of the work to revisit. Ask it to read that material and identify what needs updating.
Read the earlier earnings review in this Project. What has changed since then, which conclusions still have support, and what evidence do we need to refresh?
A fresh chat gives the next investigation its own working room. It does not automatically include the full contents of every earlier chat. A useful conclusion can go into Findings; a repeatable research method can become a skill for the next company, period or scenario.
The owner can use Add members to add Quantesta members by their verified account email. They need active subscriptions; access takes effect when you add them. Can use members can read the shared context and linked conversations and start their own Project chats. Members with Can edit can also change the Brief, Findings, files and notes. The owner manages membership and permissions.
Each person writes in their own conversations; Project members can read the work linked to the Project and build on it in a new chat. Link only conversations you intend Project members to see. Review the evidence and qualifications before reusing a conclusion in your own work.
